Committee On Student-Athlete Recognition
Purpose
To recognize student-athletes who have made unique contributions to intercollegiate athletic programs.
Wilma Rudolph Student Athlete Achievement Award
The N4A Wilma Rudolph Student Athlete Achievement Award is intended to honor student athletes who have overcome great personal, academic, and/or emotional odds to achieve academic success while participating in intercollegiate athletics. These young men and women may not be your best athletes or students, and therefore may not have been recognized by other organizations or awards. Nonetheless, they have persevered and made significant personal strides toward success. These are the students who benefit most from athletic academic advising programs and represent our motivation and sense of satisfaction.

- Patrick Willis (2007 Award Winner) was a first round draft pick of the SF 49ers as well as the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2007
- One of the recipients of the 2006 Wilma Rudolph Student-Athlete Achievement Award, Rulon Davis, nominated by Mt. San Antonio College, has signed an undrafted rookie free-agent contract with the Denver Broncos!
